SpamBlocks is a Web based Mail filtering service which integrates with your existing mailbox.
SpamBlocks has adopted multiple spam filtering techniques. Every mail received by you passes through 9 levels of filtering.
Level 1 : DNSBL/RBL filtering
SpamBlocks checks various DNSBL/RBL Black listings for known spammers and spamming servers. Any emails arriving from listed spammers or
spamming servers are filtered out.
Level 2 : Virus Scanning
Emails being received are scanned on server level for trojans & viruses. Infected emails are filtered out. SpamBlocks updates virus signatures
every hour which ensures highest level of Virus protection.
Level 3 : Content Filtering
Incoming emails are scanned for spam contents.
Level 4 : Attachment Filtering
Incoming emails are scanned for known Spam attachments.
Level 5 : SpamBlocks' Spam Database Lookup
SpamBlocks maintains its own database of Spammers based on user's SpamTrends and Statistics of unverified mails & total mails received in
certain duration. SpamBlocks filters out any such detected spam.
Level 6 : Subject Filtering (User Level)
SpamBlocks filters emails based on user defined subject filters.
Level 7 : Black Listing Filtering (User Level)
SpamBlocks users can define their own black listing of email addresses and domain names from which they do not wish to receive any emails.
Any emails received from listed addresses are filtered out.
Level 8 : White Listing Filtering (User Level)
Emails received from email addresses or domain names defined in White List by SpamBlocks user are delivered to user's mailbox.
Level 9 : Challenge-Response
Challenge-Response is the most effective way to filter Spam.
Every email from senders who are not authorized are stored in quarantined folder & sender of the email are sent with your own custom challenge
response (verification email). Upon verification their email is delivered to your mailbox and they are added in your white list. (Any new
emails from them will be directly delivered to your mailbox)
Since most of the Spammers use wrong "From" address, they will never see your challenge-response & your inbox will always be protected from
the spam mails.
Filtered mails are immediately sent to your SMTP Server/Mailboxes.
Unverified Mail Access
Mails which are not verified or authorized are stored in quarantined folder on SpamBlocks's servers. You can access unverified mails any time
from the web based control panel.
You will also receive daily "Unverified Mail Reports" for your reference.
